1989 to 2000 Johnson Cables Foundation
Foundation

1989 TO 2000

Johnson Cables was founded by Shankarlal Kanjidas Patel in Mehsana, Gujarat, India. Initially engaged only in flat submersible cables as a dealer.

2000 to 2011 Early Challenges and Trust Building
Resilience & Trust

2000 TO 2011

Operated with very limited resources and faced challenges, including being cheated by suppliers, but steadily gained experience and trust in the cable industry.

2012 Turning Point and Brand Launch
Turning Point

2012

After setbacks, Chandresh Kumar Patel set up Johnson's manufacturing unit, expanded into PVC and XLPE cables, and launched the Johnson brand, starting its independent journey.

2013 to 2015 Modern Machinery and ISI ISO Certifications
Modern Machinery & Testing

2013 TO 2015

Invested in modern machinery and in-house testing facilities. Introduced house wires, welding cables, and armoured cables. Secured key quality certifications - ISI and ISO.

2016 to 2019 Product Presence Expansion
Segment Expansion

2016 TO 2019

Strengthened product presence in armoured, solar, and house wire segments.

2020 to 2023 TUV Solar Certification and Sweden Exports
TUV Solar & Sweden Exports

2020 TO 2023

Obtained TUV certification for solar cables. Expanded into exports, with the first shipment to Sweden. Launched premium Johnson House Wires with 99.97% pure copper.

2024 Gujarat CM Award for Quality Excellence
Gujarat CM Award & Global Reach

2024

Honoured by Gujarat CM Shri Bhupendra Patel for Quality Excellence. Began supplying to Philippines and Nepal markets. Strengthened focus on branding, quality assurance, and distribution.

2025 Unit-II Mega Facility 3 Lakh Sq Ft and ZED Certification
Mega Plant & German Tech

2025 (Till Date)

Established Unit-II for armoured & unarmoured cables, boosting capacity. Expanded to 3 lakh sq. ft. with German technology, earned govt. ZED certification.
